Baskets sound boring, but when they are described as intelligent pieces of 3d textile they sound a lot more interesting. The way fibers come together to play a function within a basket is very often so clever, that it feels a shame to only use it to make something to hold your apples and pears.
In this workshop you will learn how to make triaxial-weaves that are very basic but super clever when it comes to making strong shapes that can be used for a lot more than baskets alone. Once your open for it you’ll see possibilities for triaxial-weaves everywhere. For those who think this workshop is too crafty, just consider it so high-tech that there still are no machines to do it yet. For those who already know the craft of triaxial weaving, come join the team and share your knowledge.
