Mastering a trick takes practice. After fifteen years of running a design studio, we have learnt to trust our gut feelings, combining intuition and reason. Our tricks start as experiments. We play with materials and discover production techniques. Small discoveries like a clever weave, a fiber with resin, or a reflection of light on a certain material, are repeated as if they are the building blocks of something bigger. They mostly result in interior products. In the exhibition ‘Tricks & Flicks’ some pieces may be considered end results and some just another step in the evolution of our practice.
